  1. 400 gms Freshly made Paneer from full cream milk
  2. 1 tablespoon+1 tsp Ghee Or butter
  3. 1.5 tablespoons +1 tsp Cooking Oil (sunflower)

  5. Bay leaf 2
  6. Cardamoms 4 pods (broken)
  7. Cloves 4
  8. Black cardamoms 2 (broken)
  9. 2 Broken red chillies
  10. 6 Black peppercorns
  11. Cinnamon 1 medium piece
  12. 1 cup Finely chopped onion
  13. 1 cup Tomato puree
  14. 1 tsp Chilli powder
  15. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  16. 1 tablespoon Ginger garlic paste
  17. 1 tablespoons Coriander powder
  18. 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
  19. 1 tsp Kasoori methi crushed
  20. 1 cup Hot water
  21. Salt to taste
  22. 2 tsp lemon juice
  23. 1 tablespoon fresh curd
  24. Chopped coriander leaves 1 tablespoon
  25. Ginger thinly sliced to garnish
  26. Green chillies to garnish

Steps to make to make Kadai Paneer Dhaba Style

  1. First, wash and cut the paneer and cut in cubes.
    Marinate paneer with 1 tsp each of chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, salt, oil and lemon juice. Keep covered for 20 minutes.
  2. Till then, prepare the gravy. Heat oil and butter in a deep kadai. Add all the whole spices mentioned above. When they leave aroma, add in chopped onions and saute till golden pink.

  4. Adjust seasonings as per taste. Then add kasuri methi and switch off flame. Gravy is ready. Then heat another pan. Add 1 tsp oil and butter and butter each. When they heat, stir fry the paneer on high heat for 2 to 5 minutes. Then add in the gravy, and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon of curd, mix and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
  5. Your kadai paneer is ready. Pour in serving bowls. Garnish with juliens of ginger, sliced green chillies and chopped coriander leaves. Serve with tandoori paratha or naan and enjoy your dhaba style meal!😋😋
